Company History

Cardinal Systems was founded in 1976 by Warren “Mickey” Bradley to produce galvanized steel walls for inground swimming pools. Their operation began in a modest shop with only one shear, a press brake and punch press. Since then, Cardinal Systems has built a reputation as the world’s largest and most technologically-advanced manufacturer of galvanized steel-wall inground swimming pool panels and components. Today, Cardinal occupies a 155,000 square foot manufacturing facility, and produces all parts and materials in-house.

From its inception, Cardinal Systems has had a strong commitment to precision fabrication delivered with superior customer service. This same commitment, coupled with an aggressive pursuit to engage the latest technology has enabled Cardinal Systems to produce a customized product in the same amount of time that it takes competitors to produce a standard product. At Cardinal Systems, customization is our standard.

In 2007, Cardinal built on its 30+ years of steel fabrication experience and introduced the BuildBetter brand of products, including steel wall foundations, steel retaining walls and shear walls. By continuing to blend the latest in technology and materials with their superior precision fabrication capabilities and attention to changing industry needs, a new line of products for the residential and commercial building industry evolved under the name BuildBetter.
