- Taking the lead - Cardinal's GREEN Initiatives

As a part of its commitment to environmental improvement, Cardinal Systems has actively sought ways to increase its efficiencies and decrease its impact on our environment.
The company has become active in several stewardship programs, such as the U.S. Green Building Council, GreenFormat, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) Climate Leaders® Small Business Network program. Cardinal Systems is the first manufacturer in the pool industry to participate in the EPA's comprehensive project.
Cardinal has launched aggressive initiatives in several areas to meet and exceed environmental standards. The company's BuildBetter line of construction panels is GreenSpec listed and a LEED points contributor for commercial and residential construction projects. Some additional corporate efforts include:

- Adding alternative energy sources
- Retrofitting all lighting, compressors, HVAC, and boilers to energy efficient technologies
- Reducing, reusing, and recycling waste products throughout the business
